DIZOT is proud to present the first event after the summer, in collaboration with Stichting WEP!
For this edition, we have invited improvisational noise wizard Ali Robertson, all the way from Edinburgh, and body-assembling performance artist Michiel Teeuw from Groningen. We look forward to an evening of wringing-out the charged body, and indulging in multi-sensorial sound scenes that challenge typical perception.

Ali Robertson, an award-winning improvising musician from Edinburgh, has been active in the experimental music scene for over twenty-five years, touring across three continents and becoming a regular on the international music festival circuit. His work exists on the periphery of what can be described as music, incorporating elements of improvisation, noise, composition, chance, comedy, spoken word, visual art, and storytelling. Best known for his work in the free improv performance duo Usurper, which he and cartoonist Malcy Duff performed as between 2003 and 2023, and for his work with the inclusive ensemble Sonic Bothy, as both a player and a workshop facilitator, Ali also performs solo and has collaborated with countless artists worldwide. Since 2000, he has operated the imprint Giant Tank, releasing dozens of CDs, cassettes, LPs, and publications, and hosting an ongoing series of concerts in Edinburgh under the Tfeh banner, alongside his co-curator Firas Khnaisser.
Michiel Teeuw – I am an artist and researcher. My work takes place on the overlap of the systemic and the personal. In my life and practice, I learn to relate to the systems around me. Systems which are full of complex political relationships of subjugation and resistance between all kinds of members. Members which were once part of a holistic whole, but are now violently segregated into hierarchical categories. In my practice, I initiate assemblies. I come together with knowledge fields, plants, machines, humans, disciplines, animals, beliefs, things, media, and spacetimes. These assemblies are presented in various media and contexts.
