A collaboration w/ zot: Michaela Turcerová, Jackie Galama & Jens J.T. Huls
Michaela Turcerová
Spotted at kraak festival early this year, both zot members were instantly mesmerized by copenhagen-based, slovakia born Micheala Turcerová’s play with the saxophone. Spoken in the literal sense as she uses all the sounds produced by the instrument. Creating minimal rhythmic patterns with valves and spit. Best described sounding like “when a cat finds the remote control and starts flipping through the tv channels” (~kraak).
Jackie Galama & Jens J.T. Huls
Jens J.T. Huls (they/he) & Jackie Galama (she/they) are artists & educators exploring (audative) sculptural performance, activated by durational practices that blur the boundaries between the self and the other. They transform the body, a fluid concept of selfhood through: the performance of ritual, repetition, bdsm, and deconstruction.
